Terms of service.
All purchases upon approval of payment become an Order, Badges of Distinction reserves the right to review the Order prior to commencement of production of any items. The Order is subject to corrections for clerical or mathematical errors. If Badges of Distinction is unable to meet its obligations under the Order, Badges of Distinction will notify the Customer within 21 days and refund any payment by the Customer in full.
The Customer is responsible for the selection of items identified on the Order, and Badges of Distinction accepts no responsibility should the Customer change their mind regarding their selection.
Each piece of timber is unique and with any natural product will have variations in grain and colour, each unique piece may contain small knots, veins or cracks which is normal and common in natural timber, we choose each length of timber carefully to create the best finished piece and sometimes these natural variants may be present and serve to help make each of our personalised items that much more individual.
Badges of Distinction accepts no responsibility for any changes or alterations to the Items or Order made by the Customer after payment and placing of the Order has been made, please contact Badges of Distinction as soon as possible if any changes to an item or items need to be made, and if the item or items have not been put into production or shipped we will arrange for the changes to be made to the order, Badges of Distinction shall not be liable in any way, including under the warranty, for any changes after the items have been put into production, or any loss or damage as a consequence thereof.
Any debt collection charges and/or commissions, in addition to any legal expenses (on a full indemnity basis) incurred by Badges of Distinction in attempting to recover payment, will be payable by the customer. Badges of Distinction may charge interest at the rate of 12% per annum, calculated daily and compounding monthly, on any unpaid amounts from the date that such amounts first fall due.
The time it will take to have your piece created and delivered will vary from order to order. We always endeavor to have each item posted within 5-7 business days of payment received and also meet suggested lead times and have your piece ready for you on the agreed completion date.
We cannot be held responsible for delays that stem directly from circumstances beyond our control.
All parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the State or Territory in which the purchase and product is made and the law applying in that State or Territory is the proper law governing these terms.
